i think that the following description is pretty accurate except for the bit about the dogs.
“The badger is a usually quiet and docile creature in its own domain; however, when cornered or when a threat is perceived it can possess impressive courage. Weighing up to thirty-five pounds when fully grown, the badger has an extraordinarily dangerous bite, which it is willing to use recklessly when threatened. A formidable adversary for any dog, the badger was a sought-after participant for the fighting pit”

  2. I’ve always wondered what the difference was between a Badger and a Wolverine. Other than the obvious Wisconsin vs. Michigan angle.

    Oh, and a wombat. What the hell is a wombat?

  3. Ooh, this is just like a visit to the Animal Planet Web site or reading those index cards with animal descriptions on them that you can order off the TV. The cards come with a handy carrying case so you can travel on vacation and ID all the pertinent wildlife spotted from the back of the family station wagon.

    About those wombats, I’m not sure, but you should ask Newscoma. She claims to juggle them all the time.
