Five years ago, I knew it was a crock of shit. Two years after 9-11 and still no Osama bin Laden. I knew that despite anyone’s best efforts that this desert war would be nothing like the last one. I knew that going to Iraq was a stupid ill advised move. Fake evidence, bad “intelligence”, and a blood thirsty administration made it inevitable that we would be at war with Iraq. And not just Iraq, but the whole middle east.
So now it’s 5 years on and I don’t feel any better about Iraq. The issues that prompted the invasion have become muddied. I just hope that in another 5 years I’m not repeating a post like this.
