In Uncategorized on August 19, 2008 at 6:30 pmI saw this and thought that I had finally went round the bend. Unfortunately I wasn’t. It drives me nuts when people treat God like Santa Claus.
As Twyman prayed, onlookers stared; but the six-member prayer group kept going. Soon they were singing, “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” with an added verse of “He’s got the lower gas prices in His hands.”
Does God care what we pay for the oil that we are using to destroy the Earth? It’s time we got a grip and realized that Earth is the only home we got and we better take care of it. Praying for lower gas prices don’t cut it my brother!
Fechheimer: The economy in a nose dive
In Uncategorized on August 14, 2008 at 8:09 pmFechheimer (or better known here as Martin Manufacturing) a sewing factory that made uniforms, will be closing it’s doors in approx. 60 days. The majority of the 160 workers are women, some are elderly, a large percentage are single moms. I know what it feels like to watch the maintenance guys start to band up the equipment, I’ve been there twice. It doesn’t feel very good when you’re single with no responsibilities, but I can’t imagine the panic when you have kids to feed.
How to get tased
In Uncategorized on August 8, 2008 at 4:14 pmAlthough I understand where this article is coming from, I think it’s a good way to get your ass tased. It’s also incomplete advice. What if it’s dark? What if you are on a dark country road? My suggestion would be always trust the short hairs on the back of your neck ladies and gents. I say and gents because rape, murder and robbery are not exclusive to women traveling alone. As if.
