Just finished this little dude for the cover of my Mom’s b-day card. She likes her birds. I hope that this will cheer her up, brighten her day a little.

I found this while I was looking for information on this band, The Hot Club of San Francisco. They were featured on our paper’s entertainment page so I got curious. I went from Gypsy Jazz to Ragtime, that’s how it goes on the inter-tubes.

Napkins are not ideal for pencil drawings, but doodlers only see white space. The fact that you aren’t supposed to draw on it makes it that much more inviting. I do apologize for the condition of this drawing, it has been riding around in my back pocket all day. Thankfully I wasn’t sweating.

Yes, I know I’ve been lax here lately. Life gets busy and the pencil doesn’t get used much. That and I’ve been worn the slap out this week and haven’t felt the blogging thing. My mood is somewhere between pacing a cage and staring into space. I’ve been trying to communicate with IT folk and it has been frustrating to say the least. They probably think I’m an idiot. Hell, I felt kinda dumb.

IT Lady: You need to change the permissions on that folder.

Me: Um….errrr…wha?

The poor woman had to walk me through it. Then there was the pica discussion. We don’t use picas we use inches. So it was another um…errr moment. Bless the woman she converted it for me.

Basically work is hectic and the time spent away from work feels heavy. There’s just something ominous about the ticking of a clock.

I watched a documentary last night on Link TV about Ron English, a fine artist who went feral.

He and his crew, in broad daylight, redo commercial spaces. Go here to see.

Okay, so after stressing me out all last week about my freaking student loan payment and then tossing my nerves and emotions like a fine chicken salad then shaking me down for my bank information the collection agency has still not taken their pound and a half of flesh out of my account. Why is that? I feel like I’m being dangled and I have a stress bubble creeping up my spine. Is this how fishing bait feels? I don’t think I can use live bait anymore.
